Polar Plunge

The Friends of the Park would like to thank everyone involved in the Polar Plunge on Sunday 1-1-12.....the brave plungers, the sponsors and all of the spectators. We raised $4,400. There were 75 plungers and it will be even bigger next year. A few VERY special "Thank You's" go out to: 1. Dave Strawbridge from Fox's Pizza - the brainchild of this idea 2. Chris Barnes from Harmony Inn - who opened his doors early & stayed late to feed and quench the plungers & spectators 3. Diane Smith - from Harmony Colours who designed the t-shirt 4. Connoquenessing Valley Community Chest

For your generous donation, the park was able to completely revamp our concession stand at the pool. We could not have done it without you! Check out our great menu this summer, and stroll over in the evening to sit on the new patio and eat at one of our shaded tables outside the pool house!
